How does Bluetooth work?
A Bluetooth device works by using radio waves instead of wires or cables to connect with your cell phone, smartphone or computer. When Bluetooth-enabled products (such as your mobile phone and the biosensor) are in close proximity to each other, they connect, or pair.
What is Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)?
Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE or BLE) is a form of wireless communication designed especially for short-range communication intended to provide considerably reduced power consumption and cost. Supersapiens uses BLE technology to transfer data between the biosensor and the app.
Can my phone be connected via BLE to the Abbott Libre Sense Glukose-Biosensor Für Sport and another device at the same time?
Yes.
What happens if my Bluetooth connection has been lost?
Simply re-pair your biosensor to the Supersapiens app. At this time, any missing data should be automatically recovered. If there is any missing data, indicated by a red area on the Live Graph, you will have to NFC scan your biosensor. The biosensor stores up to 8 hours of data. To avoid gaps in data, ensure a continuous Bluetooth connection or scan biosensor at least once every 8 hours. For more information on Bluetooth and NFC scanning, please see NFC Scan and Other Functionality.
